Technologies Contest Plzeň 2008. International contest of diploma and research works by students of Department of Technical Education The contest is defined for two sections: A - diploma works B – other works The B section is divided into the following categories: B1 work focused on didactics B2 work focused on technical issues B3 work focused on multimedia
The organizer has the right to join categories in case of a low number of applications.
1. Applicants should be full-time or part-time students of Bachelor or Master Teacher training programmes of any higher education institution with focus on Technical Education. 2. Applicants should successfully participate in department or faculty level of student competitions. 3. For section A works will be accepted that will be defended in the academic year 2007/8. 4. For section B works will be accepted done by students according to point 1. 5. For work acceptation for the competition it is necessary to send: application and annotation in written and electronic form. Advisor or opponent commentary in written and electronic form, the work itself in written and electronic form (CD-ROM, DVD, *.doc or *.pdf format). If part of the work is a 3D object, it is possible to send photo documentation 6. The deadline for applications and other documents is 30. 4. 2008. 7. Organizer is entitled to reject works that do not meet given requirements or are sent after the deadline. 8. The department is allowed to send to the competition also the lecturers that are counselors of students’ works. These employees can be members of juries in corresponding sections. 9. First three works in section will get motivating financial rewards. The results will be publicized on the Internet and with the help of a media partner. 10. Accommodation and refreshments will be provided for the contestants and the jury members. 11. The organizer will guarantee the copyright protection according to the law no. 121/2000. Without written agreement of the author the work will not copied, lent or provided to the public. 12. The following presentation aids will be available for the contestants: (OHP, notebook + data projector, interactive board). Specific requirement must be given in the application. 13. The organizer has the right to change propositions. 14.
